Three staff members from Crediton's Charlesworth Nicholl & Co have signed up to take part in the Great West Run on behalf of EDP Drug and Alcohol Services, one of the event's designated charities. This year's Great West Run will be on Sunday 3 May, in and around central Exeter, and will feature two races - a half marathon (13.1 miles) and a 5km (3.1 miles) race.
Pictured, taking a break from their lunch-time training schedule, are Julie Tiao, a conveyancing solicitor at Charlesworth Nicholl, Phillipa Clay who works in the Family Department and Susan Sharratt who does family work and civil litigation. Phillipa said: "We are keen to support EDP, because our Family Department deals with a lot of very difficult child care cases where substance abuse is a major problem, not only for the user but for the entire family. Children's lives can be so badly affected by this sort of situation, and EDP works not only with users but also, very importantly, helps their families. We'd like to raise a lot of money for this very worthwhile cause."
